Our Staff
Pastor Doug Williams
Pastor Doug attended CBC as a teen, and graduated from Alleghany High School. He attended Appalachian Bible College, where he met his wife Dorcas. He also received his Master's Degree from Columbia International University. Pastor Doug and Dorcas served the Lord for two decades in the mountains of Ecuador as missionaries among the Awa people. In 2011 they returned to Covington and he became part of the pastoral staff. In 2015 Pastor Doug became the lead pastor. Doug and Dorcas have three children, and are proud grandparents of three grandchildren. Pastor Doug is an avid hunter and fisherman, and is a Virginia Tech Hokies fan.
Pastoral Assistant and Music Director Marc Beckley
Marc joins CBC as a graduate of Appalachian Bible College. He is the oldest of four boys born to Ken and Sarah Beckley, missionaries to West Africa through Faith Baptist Mission. He was born and raised on the field. Saved at age 5 and baptized at 13, he did not have a definite call to missions until near the end of his junior year of college. He had always been open to the possibility, but never felt a definite call until then.
Marc & Joanna met at Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, West Virginia, and dated for almost four years. They were married in July, 2020. They interned at a small church in Bridgeport, West Virginia, for just over a year before the Lord led them to their current position here at Covington Bible Church. Their long term calling is to serve the Lord as missionaries in Africa, and are seeking to gain as much ministry experience as possible while the Lord has them here.
